About Providence Behavioral Health Services Providence Regional Med Ctr/Everett
Providence Substance Use Treatment and Recovery Services
in Everett, Washington provides substance abuse and behavioral health services for adults. They provide hospital and ambulatory detox, medication assisted treatment, intensive outpatient programs and continuing care services.
Detox and stabilization are the first steps toward sobriety. Hospital detox enables patients to safely go through the withdrawal symptoms with less risk. This treatment tends to last a few days upon which patients will begin another treatment option to continue their recovery. Ambulatory detox gives patients the same care but allows them to live at home and come to the clinic for treatment. Detox includes education, group therapy, and sober support meetings.
MAT combines counseling with FDA-approved drugs to treat substance abuse. Medications such as methadone, Suboxone and naloxone may be administered to decrease psychological cravings and prevent overdose and relapse. Patients may participate in a variety of therapies such as individual, group, family, cognitive behavioral therapy and motivational interviewing.
