About RPMC – Richmond Private Methadone Clinic
The Richmond Private Methadone Clinic provides adults with outpatient methadone maintenance and detoxification services in Richmond, Virginia. The organization is CARF -accredited.
They provide their treatments at low cost and accept private pay. If you’re insured, they’ll be able to provide you with the necessary documentation so that you may file an insurance claim.
What stood out to me is that you will not need to wait in a long line for dosing and they always have openings for new patients. I do like that they include individual counseling and group therapy with your methadone program. It’s outpatient, so you’ll also have time to supplement your recovery by immersing yourself in nearby attractions like Bryan Park or Monument Avenue Park.
Before you are officially admitted into their program, you will undergo intake interviews, psychological evaluations, physical exams and laboratory procedures. Their medical director, who is a specialist in addiction treatment, will make the final decision in regards to your admission.
Once you’ve been admitted, the staff will develop your individualized treatment plan. I like that you will have a primary counselor for your individual sessions. Your counselor will monitor your goals and objections to your treatment plan. You’ll be required to attend your group therapy sessions as they appear on your schedule. Family therapy will only be conducted upon request.
The typical length of time most individuals spend in this detox program can be from 30 days to six months. The length of time will depend on you and meeting your goals. You will go daily for Methadone medication dosing. If needed, they do provide long term methadone maintenance.
What stood out to me is their aftercare program. Once you complete detox and you no longer need methadone therapy, you will be able to receive aftercare services at no charge. You will attend counseling, to help keep you focused on your recovery and sobriety. The only part you will need to pay for is the required drug screenings.

-
PHP
Partial hospitalization programs provide comprehensive treatment in a structured setting during the day but allow you to return home at night. These programs offer a balance of inpatient and outpatient rehab and provide intensive support without full time residency.
-
Dual Diagnosis
Dual diagnosis programs address substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions simultaneously. This integrated approach to care improves the likelihood of long term recovery and stability by addressing the root causes of addiction.
-
Aftercare
Aftercare programs provide ongoing support after you complete a rehab program. They may include several components to help you maintain sobriety including therapy, community support groups and relapse prevention strategies. This gives you a network of resources as you reintegrate into your daily life.
Detox Service Setting
-
Outpatient Detox
Outpatient detox gives you access to medically supervised withdrawal services while still allowing you to live at home. You’ll attend a clinic for treatment and monitoring. This flexible option is suitable for those with mild to moderate withdrawal symptoms who have strong support systems.
-
MAT
Medication assisted treatment combines medication and counseling to manage withdrawal and reduce cravings for opioid and alcohol addiction. Medications may include methadone, buprenorphine or naltrexone. MAT is tailored to your needs so you can actively participate in your treatment journey.
