About Rbha
Medical detox at RBHA allows clients to be monitored around the clock by doctors who can offer medication to treat withdrawal symptoms. RBHA uses methadone, buprenorphine, and suboxone. Services may also include individual and group therapy, addiction education, and treatment planning to help clients prepare for the next step in treatment.
RBHA may refer clients to a variety of programs, including residential treatment, intensive outpatient programs (IOPs), and general outpatient treatment. Options include gender-specific care, programs for pregnant and parenting women, dual-diagnosis treatment, medication-assisted treatment (MAT) for opioid misuse, and peer support.
The Richmond Behavioral Health Authority and providers they refer clients to may accept a variety of insurance plans, such as Cigna, Humana, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Aetna, Amerigroup, Ambetter, United Healthcare, and more. Insurance plans vary, so be sure to verify coverage information and out-of-network benefits with the insurer.
Levels of Care
-
Outpatient
In outpatient therapy, you’ll attend therapy sessions several times each week while living at home. This is ideal if you have a strong support system and a lower risk of relapse. Outpatient treatment offers flexibility to maintain work, school or family obligations.
Detox Service Setting
-
Inpatient Detox
Inpatient detox occurs in a dedicated treatment facility. You’ll live there around the clock and receive intensive medical support and supervision to help manage your withdrawal symptoms. It is suitable for individuals with moderate to severe addictions as it ensures a stable detox environment.
-
MAT
Medication assisted treatment combines medication and counseling to manage withdrawal and reduce cravings for opioid and alcohol addiction. Medications may include methadone, buprenorphine or naltrexone. MAT is tailored to your needs so you can actively participate in your treatment journey.
