Saint Anthony Hospital Start Recovery and Treatment Program

All services begin with an individual client assessment to help providers determine the level of need and appropriate treatment. If medication assisted treatment is required to help clients detox from opioids, alcohol, or other substances then providers can administer FDA-approved medications to minimize the physical pain of withdrawal, reduce relapse risk and lessen cravings.

This program takes a step-down approach to addiction recovery, providing both inpatient and outpatient services as required. Inpatient treatment takes place at SSM Health’s Midtown campus in a hospital setting. Available adjunctive services include individual, family and group therapy; addiction education; life-skills training; and similar programs.

Aftercare services help clients prepare for reintegration into society and a life of long-term recovery. Clients can participate in weekly alumni group meetings to connect with others, find accountability and share recovery progress. Providers can also refer clients to community-based resources or other departments within the SSM Health network if additional recovery services are required.

The Saint Anthony Hospital Start Recovery and Treatment Program is in-network with most major insurance providers, including Ambetter, Beech Street, BlueCross BlueShield, Cigna, First Health, Humana and others. Please ask your individual provider to verify coverage because out of network benefits can vary.
