About SE Council on Alc and Drug Dep Inc (SCADD)/Detox
The Southeastern Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence, Inc. (SCADD) Detox Program, located in New London, Connecticut, provides addiction recovery services for adults. Their gender-specific offerings include medication-assisted treatment (MAT), residential treatment, intensive outpatient (IOP) and general outpatient (OP) programs, and aftercare services. Dedicated support is available for clients with co-occurring conditions.
Their MAT services help clients detox from opioids, alcohol, and other drugs under skilled nursing care. As needed, a multi-disciplinary team of providers can administer FDA-approved addiction medications, including buprenorphine and methadone, to ease the physical pain of withdrawal, minimize cravings, and reduce the risk of relapse. Clients receive 24-hour care and observation, along with medical monitoring and treatment.
In addition to MAT, they also offer residential treatment services to help clients explore the mental and emotional sides of their addiction while they’re in the detox phase. Available services include individual counseling and case management. Clients who are ready to transition or who require a lower level of care can participate in outpatient counseling services focused on relapse prevention, addiction education, and trigger identification. Aftercare planning includes connecting clients to local, community-based resources such as employment services, transitional housing, and additional recovery support.
SCADD may be in-network with most private insurance providers, including BlueCross/BlueShield, Cigna, Aetna, Humana, United Healthcare, and others. Ask your individual provider to verify your coverage as out-of-network benefits can vary.
SCADD is Legit-Script certified and accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF).
