About Southwest Counseling Women and Children

Southwest Counseling Women and Children in Rock Springs, Wyoming is a residential detox and addiction treatment program for women and women with dependent children. This facility accepts a number of payment assistance programs and provides sliding-fee scale treatment to those who qualify.

The facility is government sanctioned, and the staff is well trained with many years of experience caring for addicted women and mothers. Patients are encouraged to make a change not just for themselves but also for their loved ones. Staff provides the kind of structure patients require to truly put their substance abuse behind them and safely navigate withdrawal.

Treatment is intensive and personalized, and patients will be able to utilize medications as well as therapy sessions in their recovery from drug and alcohol dependence. In addition, the facility is 24-hours and provides meals and accommodations for patients and their children. This facility also provides mothers the chance to learn numerous skills to help them in their parenting and life management.

Patients may stay for a short amount of time (30 days or so) or for much longer if necessary. Patients who choose this program will be able to parent while receiving help for a substance use disorder.

Southwest Counseling Women and Children is designed not only to help women cope with substance abuse and put an end to their drug dependences but to help mothers navigate the process of raising children. The facility allows mothers to interact with their children in a safe, controlled environment where no substance abuse is allowed in order to help them learn the parenting and life skills they will need in the future.

Policies

Women who have dependent children, who are pregnant or suffering from postpartum depression, and/or who have experienced trauma are all encouraged to become patients at the facility. Women who are referred by the judicial system are also welcome. Patients must be 18 or older, but in some specialized cases, young adults may be allowed to receive treatment at Southwest Counseling Women and Children.

Smoking is prohibited at the facility.

Patients should not bring alcohol or drugs to the facility.
