About Spectrum Health Systems, Inc.
Spectrum Health Systems has three clinics in Worcester, Massachusetts. The facility on Lincoln Street is an accredited outpatient drug rehab offering addiction treatment services to adults aged 18 and older. Care is offered here regardless of gender, race or background.
Services here include clinical assessments, physical and toxicology exams, medical monitoring, individualized treatment planning, rapid access to naltrexone and buprenorphine. This is provided alongside individual, group and family counseling. Addiction education is available to both clients and their families.
Same-day admission and walk-in access to medication for substance abuse disorder are available here. Operating via an on-demand treatment center, it’s possible for clients to access FDA-approved buprenorphine, methadone and naltrexone as part of their medication-assisted treatment (MAT) program. These medicines can help clients reduce their risk of relapse of overdose by lessening withdrawal symptoms and cravings.
First-time visits only take around two to three hours with clients going through clinical assessments and medication evaluation to check that they’re eligible for care. They can then receive their first prescription and access mental health and recovery support navigator services. These may include anger management and addiction or life skills education workshops.
Rapid access treatment at this facility also includes ongoing medical monitoring, individualized treatment planning and case management services as well as individual and group counseling. Aftercare planning is also available to ensure a sustainable long-term recovery.
In terms of what former clients have to say, feedback is mixed though recent impressions tend to be more positive. Some praise kind and understanding staff members by name which is great to see while others describe exceptional services as well as the professionalism and attentiveness of the team.

Levels of Care

Outpatient
In outpatient therapy, you’ll attend therapy sessions several times each week while living at home. This is ideal if you have a strong support system and a lower risk of relapse. Outpatient treatment offers flexibility to maintain work, school or family obligations.
-
Intervention
An intervention is a structured and professionally guided conversation with an individual who is struggling with addiction. During the conversation, family and friends will encourage you to seek treatment. This is often a pivotal step for those resistant to getting help.
Detox Service Setting
-
Outpatient Detox
Outpatient detox gives you access to medically supervised withdrawal services while still allowing you to live at home. You’ll attend a clinic for treatment and monitoring. This flexible option is suitable for those with mild to moderate withdrawal symptoms who have strong support systems.
-
MAT
Medication assisted treatment combines medication and counseling to manage withdrawal and reduce cravings for opioid and alcohol addiction. Medications may include methadone, buprenorphine or naltrexone. MAT is tailored to your needs so you can actively participate in your treatment journey.
