About Horizon Village: Terrace House
The Terrace House, operated by Horizon Health Services in Buffalo, New York, provides medical detox and crisis stabilization services for adults. Services are focused on detox from alcohol, opioids, and benzodiazepines and include mental and physical health interventions, addiction counseling, building support systems, and linking clients with resources to continue their recovery.
Medical detox at the Terrace House allows clients to be monitored by medical staff around the clock. Staff can help manage the physical symptoms of withdrawal with appropriate medications and other medical care. Clients also receive individual and group counseling to overcome the mental and emotional aspects of withdrawal and begin to create healthy coping skills.
After detox, Horizon Health Services can refer clients to residential alcohol and drug rehab or outpatient treatment, which can include dual-diagnosis care and integrated treatment that includes medical, psychological, spiritual, and social aspects. Virtual care may also be available.
Horizon Health Services accepts a variety of private insurance plans, such as Aetna, Fidelis, Martins Point, Amerigroup, Blue Cross, Independent Health, Molina, and more. Be sure to check with the insurer to verify out-of-network benefits and other coverage information.
