About Texoma Medical Center Behavioral Health Center
Texoma Medical Center Behavioral Health Center provides psychiatric and addiction recovery services for adolescents and adults in Sherman, Texas. They offer age-specific medication-assisted treatment (MAT), inpatient treatment, an intensive outpatient (IOP) program, and aftercare services. Specialized support is available for clients with co-occurring addictions and mental health disorders. Telehealth appointments are available.
Their MAT program allows clients to detox from opioids, alcohol, and other substances in a medically supervised environment. As required, providers may administer FDA-approved addiction medications to reduce the severity of withdrawal symptoms, minimize cravings, and lower the risk of relapse.
In addition to MAT, they provide adjunctive services to help clients better understand their addictions, identify triggers, and learn healthy coping strategies for recovery. A dedicated adolescent inpatient program is available for youth aged 13-17, with services that include individual, group, and family counseling, anger management and social skills training, medication management, and recreational therapy. Their adult inpatient treatment includes similar services centered around a more intensive and therapeutic structure, including psychiatric services and crisis stabilization.
When clients are ready to transition to outpatient treatment, they can participate in group counseling, skills development courses, relapse prevention training, addiction education, and related programs. Their aftercare services include referrals to community providers that can assist each client in maintaining long-term recovery.
Texoma Medical Center Behavioral Health Center works with most major insurance providers, which may include Aetna, Anthem, Cigna, United Healthcare, Humana, and others. They also accept Medicare and Medicaid. Verify your coverage with your individual provider as out-of-network benefits may vary.

-
Dual Diagnosis
Dual diagnosis programs address substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions simultaneously. This integrated approach to care improves the likelihood of long term recovery and stability by addressing the root causes of addiction.
