About Valhalla Place
If you’re struggling with opioid dependency and want to get clean but fear withdrawal, the Behavioral Health Group in suburban, forested Woodbury, Minnesota, can help you break the cycle of addiction. They specialize in medication assisted recovery, which utilizes a combination of prescriptions along with counseling to address the physical and psychological impacts of opioid addiction.
The Behavioral Health Group accepts most major insurance plans, including Medicare, Medicaid, and Medicare Advantage. Plus, BHG partners with organizations that provide grant funding so more clients can access treatment.
Clients are helped to wean off illicit opioids with methadone, a proven medication that reduces cravings and dampens uncomfortable withdrawal symptoms such as nausea and body aches. Methadone treatment is safe for pregnant clients and full medical screenings are provided to ensure there is minimal risk.
The good thing about methadone treatment at BHG is that once clients stabilize, they can earn take home privileges. This means that they don’t have to attend the center in person for their dose. It shows that you’re becoming more independent and are accountable for your actions.
With cravings and withdrawal symptoms under control, clients are much better equipped to participate in the counseling element of treatment, to tackle the underlying causes that drive their addictive behaviors. The Behavioral Health Group uses individual, group, and family counseling that uses a cognitive behavioral therapy approach to help clients change their behaviors and manage stress and triggers without drugs.
