About Valley Hope of O Neill
Based in rural, north-central Nebraska, Valley Hope of O’Neill has provided accredited drug rehab treatment to countless individuals since it opened in 1977. Care is available to adults of all genders aged 18 and older including veterans and those with concurrent mental health conditions.
Most people who come here usually start with detox. This process typically lasts a few days, and is fully supervised 24/7 by highly trained staff. The process begins with a full medical assessment coordinated by the Valley Hope nursing team and a physician. This includes physical and lab profile tests.
The results of all these will determine clients’ personalized detox and recovery plan, the estimated timeframe of detox, treatment recommendations and any recommended or necessary medications. Clients will also be assigned a primary counselor and case manager.
Medical supervision ensures clients can progress through this stage of treatment safely and comfortably, with staff on hand to alleviate discomfort as part of medication-assisted therapy In this way, clients can better manage discomfort, dangerous symptoms, and difficult cravings and withdrawal.
Once clients have made it through the worst and are medically cleared then they will be prepped and moved on to the next most appropriate level of care to suit their needs. Oftentimes, this might be residential care.
Residential care can help clients focus on their recovery in a supported environment. The treatment schedule involves more than 40 hours per week of individual, group, pastoral and family therapy sessions. Other services include 12-step sessions, addiction education and return-to-work support. Relapse prevention, continued care coordination and regular health assessments also feature heavily. Medication-assisted treatment (MAT) is also available to those who need it as well as virtual family care.
