Brockton VA Medical Center offers alcohol and drug rehab services in Boston, Massachusetts. The center provides residential and ambulatory detox, medication-assisted treatment (MAT), inpatient (IP) and outpatient (OP) programs, and aftercare for veterans and their families. Specialized services are available for seniors, the LGBTQ+ community, homeless/indigent persons, and gender-specific groups.
At Brockton VA Medical Center, clients have a structured environment to ease withdrawal pains and reduce cravings. Ambulatory and residential medical detox is available, including FDA-approved prescriptions such as methadone, Suboxone, naltrexone, acamprosate, disulfiram, topiramate, bupropion, and varenicline to reinforce recovery. Clients are monitored 24/7 by a case management team and begin their rehabilitation with counseling.
After detox, clients may transition into inpatient or outpatient programs, depending on their acuity and social service needs. Clients may participate in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviews, and emotive enhancement therapy to address co-occurring mental and behavioral health disorders. Peer support, community outreach, family resources, and faith-based services are also available. Clients may be referred throughout the medical center or to outside facilities for specialized substance abuse programs.
