About Volunteers of America Northern Rockies The Gathering Place

Volunteers of America Northern Rockies The Gathering Place is a CARF accredited program in Sheridan, Wyoming that offers women the best option for detox treatment. Many women need residential care for safe recovery from opioid, alcohol, or other types of substance abuse problems but cannot leave their dependent children behind. At this facility, they are not asked to do so, and instead, women can bring their children to live with them during the program.

The Gathering Place staff is completely focused on helping patients receive the most individualized and appropriate care possible. Patients are assigned to one clinician at the start of their treatment who helps them determine their length of stay, their need for medication, and their comfort with and need for any other treatment options available to them.

Since the care at this facility is specifically focused on women and women with small children, the program provides specialized care that cannot be found at many other detox centers. The facility is homey and comfortable to provide the best atmosphere for women and children alike.

Most patients stay at The Gathering Place for an average of 90 days, but the treatment time may be longer or shorter, depending on your specific needs. Every individual requires treatment that suits their personalized recovery, so if you are a woman living in Wyoming and/or a mother with young children, this treatment program may be the best choice for your safe detox.
