About Warwick Manor Behavioral Health
Warwick Manor Behavioral Health is a drug and alcohol addiction recovery facility for adults on the banks of the Choptank River in East New Market, Maryland. You’ll recover in a peaceful waterfront estate away from the noise and rush of the city. You can live onsite in one of 68 beds or stay at home and come in for outpatient sessions. They’ll assess you and guide you to what will be most beneficial for you.
Treatments here are typically short term to provide stabilization. You’ll become part of a recovery community in a supportive, encouraging environment. If you stay in the home, you’ll be medically monitored throughout your detox. For those who come in for treatment, they offer ambulatory detox with monitoring during the times you’re at the facility. The medications they use for detox reduce the discomfort and risks of withdrawal. You may stay on medication for long term recovery as it takes away cravings.
Mental health disorders are often closely linked to substance use. If you’re experiencing co-occurring mental health challenges, they can help you. Along with psychiatric assessments and therapy, you’ll join groups for specific skills. Examples of the groups they run are relapse prevention and recovery skills.
One aspect that stands out to me is their use of guided imagery. This technique is useful for helping you relax. It’s a healthy way to reduce stress which is often a trigger for usage. When it comes to treating addictive behaviors, guided imagery can be powerful. The therapist uses it to help you imagine your body healing, redirect negative thoughts or overcome fears.

Levels of Care
-
Inpatient
Inpatient and residential programs provide round-the-clock medical and emotional support as you live at the treatment facility. This level of care may be recommended if you have severe addictions or mental health conditions since it removes outside distractions and allows you to focus solely on therapy.
-
PHP
Partial hospitalization programs provide comprehensive treatment in a structured setting during the day but allow you to return home at night. These programs offer a balance of inpatient and outpatient rehab and provide intensive support without full time residency.
-
Outpatient
In outpatient therapy, you’ll attend therapy sessions several times each week while living at home. This is ideal if you have a strong support system and a lower risk of relapse. Outpatient treatment offers flexibility to maintain work, school or family obligations.
Detox Service Setting
-
Inpatient Detox
Inpatient detox occurs in a dedicated treatment facility. You’ll live there around the clock and receive intensive medical support and supervision to help manage your withdrawal symptoms. It is suitable for individuals with moderate to severe addictions as it ensures a stable detox environment.
-
Hospital Detox
Hospital detoxification allows you to withdraw from drugs or alcohol in a hospital setting. It’s ideal for people with severe withdrawal symptoms or complex medical needs. You’ll receive constant monitoring, emergency care if needed and FDA approved prescription medications.
-
MAT
Medication assisted treatment combines medication and counseling to manage withdrawal and reduce cravings for opioid and alcohol addiction. Medications may include methadone, buprenorphine or naltrexone. MAT is tailored to your needs so you can actively participate in your treatment journey.
-
Outpatient Detox
Outpatient detox gives you access to medically supervised withdrawal services while still allowing you to live at home. You’ll attend a clinic for treatment and monitoring. This flexible option is suitable for those with mild to moderate withdrawal symptoms who have strong support systems.
