The Fort Belvoir VA Clinic is located inside the Alexander T. Augusta Military Medical Center in Fort Belvoir, Virginia. Clinic services include mental health and addiction treatment, nutrition counseling, and medical care. The Military Medical Center offers a wide range of additional services in the same building, including inpatient mental healthcare, case management and social work services.
The VA Clinic accepts VA coverage for service connected care, and you can use other insurance plans for non service connected care.
Mental Health and Addiction Treatment for Veterans
The Fort Belvoir Clinic is an outpatient clinic that offers medication assisted treatment (MAT) as well as individual and group counseling for addiction. I found it interesting that they also provide nutrition counseling, as nutrition can be a significant concern for those in recovery from substance use.
There are also medical services, and you can get testing for HIV and Hep C as well as help with wounds or any other medical concerns that often come from substance misuse.
