About Woodglen Recovery Junction

Woodglen Recovery Junction is a nonprofit detox and drug rehab facility in Fullerton, California. This center is funded in part by Orange County. They offer 60-day programs to help clients recover from substance use disorders.

Woodglen Recovery Junction is located in the 1887 historic Porter Ranch house in Fullerton, California. The center is tucked into a little cul-de-sac off a main road making it easy to access. They have been in business since 1990.

They accept MediCal or self-pay. Self-pay clients are given a payment schedule that involves a ⅓ payment at intake as well as two other payments at days 31 and 61.

Inpatient Detox in California

Woodglen’s detox center can accommodate up to six adults at a time. During this phase of your recovery, you’ll have 24/7 medical monitoring to ensure your safety and comfort. Once you are sufficiently stabilized, you’ll transition over to the residential program.

At Woodglen, they focus on uplifting and healing the body, spirit and mind through acceptance, education, love and tolerance. I like that they focus on addressing underlying issues that feed addiction. They help their residents address these problems so that clients can break free from self-destructive patterns of behavior. Treatment plans are curated for each resident based on their specific needs.

Residents live in dorm-style shared bedrooms. You’ll get either a twin bed or a bunk-bed in a room with several other residents.

Ongoing Alumni Support

I really appreciate that Woodglen continues to support their clients even after they’ve completed their inpatient program. They have an ongoing alumni meeting that takes place every week. They ask you to call ahead to RSVP because they don’t accept walk-ins. This alumni support group is a great way to monitor your ongoing recovery, build your sober network and get peer support.

Levels of Care

  • Inpatient

Inpatient and residential programs provide round-the-clock medical and emotional support as you live at the treatment facility. This level of care may be recommended if you have severe addictions or mental health conditions since it removes outside distractions and allows you to focus solely on therapy.

  • Aftercare

Aftercare programs provide ongoing support after you complete a rehab program. They may include several components to help you maintain sobriety including therapy, community support groups and relapse prevention strategies. This gives you a network of resources as you reintegrate into your daily life.
